ECOLOGICAL AND BIOGEOCHEMICAL FEATURES OF THE SOIL AND PLANTS COVER OF THE HIGH MOUNTAINS OF THE SARY-JAZ RIVER BASIN

The basin of the Sary-Jaz river has unique natural and climatic conditions; in order to preserve biological diversity and high-mountain natural complexes in this region, the State Natural Park «Khan-Teniri» was created. The territory of the park is a habitat for rare and endemic species of plants and animals, there are many natural and archaeological monuments. Since ancient times, the high-altitude zone of the Sary-Jaz river basin has been a place of concentration of mining industries; a number of deposits of tin, tungsten, molybdenum, polymetals, rare and trace elements are concentrated here. In ecological terms, this subregion of the biosphere is of great scientific interest due to the unique association of rare chemical elements and the processes of biogenic migration. The article provides an overview of the data of previously conducted ecological and biogeochemical studies of rocks, soils, plants in the high-mountain zone of the Sary-Jaz river basin.
