ORNITHOLOGICAL SURVEY OF THE SARY-CHELEK NATURE RE-SERVE AND ITS SURROUNDINGS IN AUTUMN 2004

This report analyses data on birds collected from October 19 to 24, 2004, during a trip to the Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve. Information is provided on the locations of sightings for 37 species, including those listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan (Golden Eagle, Egyptian Vulture and White-Winged Woodpecker). For most species, abundance and distribution characteristics in deciduous and coniferous forests during autumn are presented.
