A NEW FLYING SPECIES IN THE AVIFAUNA OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC IS THE DESERT RAVEN CORVUS RUFICOLLIS

This article provides data on the habitat of the desert raven on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in the period 2004-2024. For the first time, the desert raven was registered in the suburban ponds of the former Bishkek fishery in 2004. It occurs from the end of June to the end of September. It is capable of gathering in relatively large flocks, several dozen individuals. It flies over a wide front, does not avoid the highlands. It feeds on invertebrates and fruits of suitable size. He does not disdain to eat fresh meat and, possibly, carrion and food waste. Prefers stations with water resources.
